Vittinghus is one of iconic players in Danish National team. With his effort, Danish National team earned five consecutive titles at European Men's Team Championships. In 2016, he took his first Superseries title at Australian Badminton Open. At the same year, he contributed 5 victories in 6 games to support Danish National team to win their first Thomas Cup.

“My biggest goal for 2018 is to help Denmark successfully defend the Thomas Cup gold in Bangkok in May! Furthermore I expect to produce some better results than I did in 2017, which means I want to show that I can still compete to win some big titles!”
